all caught up in the swirly bits of life

It has been an interesting journey the last 5 or so years I have been creating. I started with the trees of life, moved to roses and floral pieces with some chainmaille and eclectic things along the way. My new craft obsession is Designing and creating one of a kind, unique, durable purses.

Over the years I have struggled to find a purse that would last longer than a month or three with the amount of random travel craft kits and other items I deem necessary when venture out of the dwelling. I am sure many other women feel the same, broken straps and busted zippers are just no fun.

A couple months ago I discovered a solution! Inspiration struck the day before I was to depart for Pyrate week in New Orleans (nolapyrateweek.com). I realized that my plaid purse would stand out and not look at all pyrate like and as such decided on a whim to attempt making my own suitable pyrate like replacement. The result is a purse hand crafted using bison hide leather and some thick copper wire. During my travels and life since after, it has been put to the test in many different ways. It has survived the 20 pounds of craft supplies it was holding, New Orleans rainstorm, random puppy pawing and many other trials. It has held up to life in ways beyond my expectations and so I have decided to make a series of purses and bags meant to handle life, and to look like wearable at whilst doing it.

This bag will be available at the Oracle Art Gallery in Fort Erie as of July second, two thousand sixteen.

This is hand crafted using my own designs, Copper,Bison hide leather and many hours burning the details. I hope you enjoy it!
